Karen Morrow on Cabaret

Cabaret is a dream-saver. Broadway, videos and AMERICAN IDOL are out of reach for many talented people...not to mention, not interesting to them! Yet dreams can come true for anyone who has the fortitude to prepare a cabaret evening.

It can be a defining moment in someone's life when he/she can let friends, and even strangers, get a look at the person that's been waiting to connect in a more intimate way. I see this all the time in my SINGERS' WORKSHOP...interesting people longing to say something and be seen in a new light.

When I had no show or series to do, cabaret brought me back into the spotlight and gave me such JOY!! It's hard work, but when the performing goes deep and gets personal, with humor too, it is a life-enhancing event!
